Explaining my long absense

The past few months, I have been taking a step back from my blogs.  That is in part due to how hectic this year has been.  It has also been due to a sense of ennui that has been encompassing my life this year.  The burdens of normal everyday life has been getting to me in a big way this year.  That, as well as my own preferences when it comes to working on my writing projects, has made any work slow going.  Since it has been a while, I thought I’d get a little something out there to let you know I’m still alive.

First off, I think a priority of my work has been on a special project.  As you all might know, my free stuff features the heroines created, and owned, by Mr. X.  He has always been a good person to answer any questions I have of his characters, and I know he is in a similar boat that I am in.  At the beginning of this year, I had started in on three script adaptations of my Halloween and Holiday stories.  Unfortunately, due to the ennui, as well as the hectic work schedule that erupted this year, I only got one of them completed, and I sent it to Mr. X.  I had done this to help take some burden off of him for his site, as well as to keep my own skills for writing script from getting rusty.  Hopefully, it is a help to him, and if he does use it, we should know if not by Thursday, before the 12th.

Second, I’ve been trying to make progress on the next published work, which will feature a new heroine, well, she’s not all that new.  She showed up at the end of The Thief’s Folly, as well as the antagonist of the publication.  This had been slow going, sadly, but I am hoping to have it done by Halloween.  Maybe this new self imposed dead line will be a help to me.

Third, the next story that I post on Mr. X’s Free Site is still in the works.  It is literally stuck mainly due to the delay on my next publication.  It is quite possible that once the new publication is done, the next story, Flies In The Ointment, will come flowing out of me, and into the word processor.  Sometimes, that is how it goes.

I still have plans for the next publication.  That one has been halted since before the midway point of last year, mainly due to the election.  I still plan to change the character that is to be the antagonist.  I think the whole election still caused me some second thoughts about the story, but still not enough to make me want to give up the story.  It could be that once the other publication is done, this one will also start to flow.

On another note, I’ve started to do short little things for some artists on Deviant Arts, and I’ve been debating about offering my services to others, writings little stories for their images.  The few I did for free had been fun to do, and I when an image inspires an idea, it just flows out of me.

Anyhow, this is the writing part of why I’ve been so silent and reclusive lately.

Mid February update on projects

Well, we are halfway through February, and I’ve been busy with various projects.  While some I won’t go on about at the moment, I will touch upon the one that needs to be mentioned.  I will also recap the items that are already out.

First, if you pay attention on the Super Heroine In Bondage forum, you will have seen that I posted a teaser for my next story for Mr. X’s free site.  That story, which I may have stated in prior postings, is called Flies In The Ointment.  I will admit that part of the long time since initial planning, and getting this much together has been because of other projects I’ve been working on.  Plus, the holidays for me had been a very busy and hectic time, so that story was on the back burner.  After getting info from Mr. X all together, I was able to make enough headway on this tale to have the preview ready.  If you haven’t read it yet, here is a link.  I may share it also on the blog a little later.  Please comment below if you’d like to see that.

I also plan to start making more progress on the upcoming epublications.  Odds are that I’ll finish the first Light Cloud adventure before the halfway point of the year.  If you’ve been reading all of these, you know that the other one, which will be the first story of Elsanne, was delayed because of the parody of the election that would be in it.

Regardless of that, I was able to get one item out, as you readers should know.  Since Amazon now has paperback options, I got the first three adventures of Aquamarine, and put it together in an anthology.  So, if you haven’t picked up a copy yet, I shall provide all the links right here.

The first paperback publication is out.

Hello all.

As some might have figured, my initial plans did not pan out for paperback versions of my works.  The problem was the length of the original story, so I had to rethink my plans.  What I ended up doing was compiling those three stories into an anthology.  It took a few attempts to get that going, since I am a little new to the paperback option, but I finally got it figured out.

So that means that The Early Adventures of Aquamarine is now available.  I’m sure some of you are wondering why I did it this way.  Well, it’s simple.  I know not everyone has a Kindle, or a Nook, or what ever ereaders are out there.  I, personally, didn’t start using one until recently.  I, for the most part, stick with paperbacks.  I know they take up space, but I am both modern and old-fashioned.  I also know that the Star Trek franchise has done this as well.  Their Star Trek: Corps of Engineers series started out as e-books, and anthology paperbacks were later released after so many e-books were released.  I own all of those.

So now, I present the links to The Early Adventures of Aquamarine.  It is Amazon exclusive.  The Kindle version is $4.99 (which is not even the cost of two of the individual stories), and the paperback version is $6.99 (which is actually the cost of the Kindle version plus paperback production costs, but still cheaper then buying all three publication as ebooks).  Here are the links, for those of you interested.

I hope you all take advantage of this, especially those who don’t have e-readers, and like paperbacks.

Mr. Klimstit.
